How this is produced
Census 2021 tables TS037 (general health), TS052 (occupancy rating for bedrooms) and TS038 (disability) are harvested at 2021-LSOA grain from the keyless ONS Nomis API, and a percentage is derived per small area (e.g. % reporting Bad or Very bad health). Because Census 2021 and the GP catchment share the 2021 LSOA vintage, each metric is folded directly onto practices by where the scope’s registered patients live (GpRegisteredLsoa) — no 2011↔2021 bridge — and materialised once into the catchment-weighting layer. A scope’s figure is the patient-weighted mean of its catchment LSOAs’ values; the comparator is the nearest parent (ICB → region → England).
